The social and labor conflict is a special type of the social conflict which is shown through collision of two or more multidirectional forces, interests, views concerning the social and labor relations and conditions of their providing.
The political party of the conflict is shown: in political requirements; in participation of parties of the conflict in the imperious relations and also in activity of power structures; in assistance to personnel changes in public authorities and local government.
In other words, it is a stage of the maximum development of contradictions between subjects of work in labor or the areas connected with work and represents power dynamic influence which is carried out by a significant amount of individuals, social groups on the basis of the valid or doubtful discrepancy of interests of values or a lack of resources.
Processes of social contradictions are processes which arise in the conditions of the aspiration of individuals and social groups to satisfy the requirements by means of objects and means with which other individuals and groups also try to satisfy the interests.
Social contradictions, are objectively inherent in human society. But it should be noted that they are most brightly shown in the social and economic sphere. Processes of social contradictions in the social and economic sphere are shown in such forms: hidden (a competition, the competition); opened (social fight, the social and social and labor conflicts).
The social and labor conflict closely intertwines with policy, as confirmation to it serves participation in it of power structures and promotion by participants of the conflict along with economic political requirements.
Social fight - the form of social contradictions (rivalry) caused by the social differentiation existing in society is also directed to satisfaction of radical, most essential interests of social groups in various spheres of life of society.
Competitions - the specific social phenomenon, a source of emergence and which development is the objective contrasts, contradictions between people caused by their requirements and interests and are caused by deviations in results of work that is connected with their opportunities and talents. As the last have changeable character, they generate activity, as is shown in the form of a competition.
As the main subjects of the social and labor conflict workers, employers, state bodies and local government act. The institutes protecting and representing the interests of workers and employers are respectively labor unions and merging of employers, businessmen.
The second point of view to most of which of modern researchers (such as R. Darendorf, L. Kozer) adheres is that the conflict is the normal state, objective property of social systems, is caused by the most contradictory nature of public life.
One of them recognizes that the conflict is only a temporary condition of society, the organizations which can be overcome in the different ways.
What represent the social conflicts? Whether they are dysfunction of the organization, manifestation of deviations in behavior of people from the accepted public norms, anomaly in public life, or it is a necessary, normal form of social interaction between people? In the history of development of a human thought in social sciences two points of view on this problem are presented.
Social and economic consequences are closely connected with production, material aspect and can be estimated not only as destructive, but also as creative. The conflict quite often promotes a regrouping of social forces, the general progress of the social and economic sphere, formation of the new social and labor relations.
The social conflict represents rather specific form of process of social contradictions as, on the one hand, not all contradictions arising between people are sharp, on the contrary, some of them constantly promote enhanced action of individuals and groups.
